Elmat disclose the real reason why the sailors were removed:

There was a brisky business on shipping in second hand cars in oil products out as the invisible hand of the market was going good.

Then the British started looking into the cargo, causing delays, and disturbing the local economy.

The only way was to send a clear message that the Brits searches were causing losses and this should stop.

We hope now the trade along that waterway is no longer disturbed.
