You're jumping to the same conclusion the Dem pollsters are jumping to, that the American people are against the war but for continued funding with an expiration date. Public opinion is going to be fickle and wishy-washy like that. But political leaders are expected to take stronger stances. The Dems continue to govern by polls, despite their victory last November.
