No that would be too obvious. Instead, the Iraq "Constitution" was written with the US Gun to Iraq's head and has provisions for "Production Sharing Agreements" (PSAs) and dismantling of Iraq's state owned oil company. The PSAs allow foreign national firms to come in and start developing Iraqi Oil and grab HUGE profits from the oil (much larger than industry standards). This is essentially stealing Iraqi oil.

Liar. Cheney's people control the Iraqi oil now. Chalabi and Halliburton run everything, both proven crooks.

Before Bush cuts and runs he wants one big thing to happen, a new Iraqi law allowing Exxon, Chevron, BP, Halliburton, etc. to get sweetheart exclusive deals managing Iraqi oil, and only needing to pay the Iraqis a modest commission, instead of the usual 90-10, more like 60-40. It's a huge ripoff scheme and it doesn't help the US taxpayers one iota. We pay a trillion dollars for this godawful debacle just so those oil companies can control 10 trillion in oil reserves, gouge us at the pump, corrupt our politicians and pollute our atmosphere.
