Mq, that's obviously an obvious analogy, or QUALCOMM has stolen your copyright without payment. Look, they say almost identically what you wrote:

<Nokia has no more
right to unilaterally set a price than the average consumer has a right to walk
into a store, take a product off the shelf, and walk out with it after leaving
only a fraction of the established price on the counter. Leaving some money on
the counter does not make the act any less unlawful.
>

What you wrote: [note that QUALCOMM left off the final steps in this new shopping method] <<A new shopping method. Walk into store. Ask for a discount on some product. Shop-keeper refuses. Declare the price is too high. Take the product, toss $10 on the counter and tell the shop-keeper that's all he gets. Leave store with product.

Shop-keeper phones police.

"Buyer" complains of serial litigation and prosecution by shop-keeper.

Eurocourt decides shop-keepers should charge only what the buyers are willing to pay in the case of those who simply take the product without permission.
>>

I shall demand payment for breach of copyright.

Mqurice [I will conveniently ignore that things written in SI are SI copyright - or were 11 years ago when I read the Terms and Conditions and anyway, that is under dispute, though I note SI deleted my complaint from their servers to destroy evidence which I believe is illegal]
