According Martin van den Brink, ASML's Executive Vice President Marketing & Technology, e-beam is not suitable for mass production of chips.
ASML is putting all the money on EUV and they are sure they will get a tool for 22-nm capable of running at least 100 wafers per hour.

Burn Lin is pushing e-beam technology because TSMC is investing heavily in Mapper Lithography, an e-beam company in Delft, very close to where I'm living.

I'm not sure Mapper will succeed, because last year I expected a proof of concept from Mapper, but I saw nothing.
