We plan to take our Granddaughters to the Cat Tales. It's a local zoo, specializing in big cats. They have two big lions, a bunch of tigers, a liger, several jaguars, several lesser known big cat species, several bobcats and lynx, two bears, and more cougars than I've seen in one place ever.

The biggest lion is a retired MGM lion. He loves to roar when he has a big enough crowd, or when a train goes by. I kid you not, that roar is a daunting sound.

His other trick is to mark his territory in four cardinal directions. He can reach across the barrier to the crowd if he wants, so we don't like to stand too close.
