Of course it is also another way round. My point just: there is no way that Qualcomm isn't using any Nokia IPR. Anything else is BS. But of course QCOM just has to play that game of delaying things, they have no other choice.

Maybe that's true. <It is 99.99999 % sure that "one claim in one patent" can be found (Well, Nokia tells that they have 11 000 patent families, there just must be one)> Meanwhile, QCOM can ditch all sorts of Nokia patents and install bells instead of whistles. Or, perhaps the agreement with Texas Instruments provides a lot of what Nokia thinks is simply their's. I haven't seen any agreements so have no idea, but I can imagine there are lots of unlimited licences for various things.

Maybe there are patent exhaustion arguments with QUALCOMM buying from ASIC makers who are Nokia licensees.

I doubt that QUALCOMM is simply making a silly statement as they'll be into triple damages country really quickly, albeit less harmful territory than Nokia's exploration in that dangerous jungle.

My experience is that depending on large numbers to prove a case is not a good move. Sometimes there is simply nothing there. There are billions of stars in the Milky Way. There has to be one with life as intelligent as Nokia's chief legal counsel, or the boss, or the combination thereof. Maybe there are millions of them.
