Thanks Frank, for finding the Q coins. I copied it to my thread. We will see more and more of this, with attempts to outlaw it. I expect it to go to offshore sites that the governments will try to block.

I worked on Money thirty five years ago. The guy I was taking seminars from on Social Sciences said the most important tool needed for that subject was firm definitions. We wouldn't fly in a plane built by someone who couldn't define F=MA, but when it comes to how we deal with each other, we put up with all sorts of vague definitions from "Social Scientists."

He defined everything back to Physics, so I did the same with money. I saw that money was credit good for future delivery of goods and services. And since these two items are really organized forms of energy, the fundamental basis for the universe, I defined money as:

"Credit good for future delivery of energy."

It ties very neatly into what life is. Best definition of life I have every found is an "operational" definition:

"Life is an open, thermodynamic process that organizes energy."

We had a great start-up of online money here with PayPal. But the Banks quickly caught on to the competition and ganged up with the States and Feds to stop it. They sold to EBay and EBay has kept it small. Even WalMart can't fight the banking system. Just too much money and power.

There is a lot of it out there in these virtual communities, but none has broken loose outside of them in any great way.
