They don't get that much candy and I bought them each a new sweat shirt. Teen girls seem to dress in layers. Three shirts on top of each other. Three times the laundry. <SIGH>

>Hope everyone has a great Easter Day tomorrow with their family!

Same goes for me.

My daugher (age 9) asked this year if the Easter Bunny is real.

The answer, unfortunately, was "no."

She dealt with it, and I'm sure she knew the answer when whe asked it.

We have a present for her in the am, and then we will go to the Country Club for a most excellent brunch.

i remember first grade Christmas i told mom there wasn't a santa claus.. that was dumb. next year no more santa, but i got a jacket for school,, and at easter i got the pants, in the fall the shoes. g birthday was a new shirt.

never felt deprived , christmas was one toy, i still remember the wooden dog, big long felt ears, and it made a noise as you pulled it a long. and one year a cap pistol like gene audrey's. of course cap pistols are politically incorrect for kids these days but we sure had fun back then playing cowboys, or war. somehow i don't remember linking up playing war or cowboys with murder, or getting trained to be muggers, or thieves later in life. it was just a fun time.
