We don't know what % of the Muslim World is Wahhabi/Salafi, but these fundamentalists are at least 20% of two Billion people. That means there are about 200 million world wide who believe the ultimate goal of Islam is complete domination of the world. What percentage of these are radical about it and believe it can happen now? Nobody knows. It is constantly changing. Then out of that group their is an even smaller percentage who have become Jihadist about it and are willing to work for it to happen now. A hundred years ago we could have laughed at them. They did not have the money or method to affect Western Civilization. But now, these are the very people who have got rich off of oil while our modern civilization has made it very easy to organize. Even with all of this, they would still be of no major consequence if we understood the threat and opposed it. But as a country, we refuse to face the truth, and think these people can be reasoned and negotiated with. They can't. We have them coming at us from two distinct groups. The Wahhabi/Salafi Sunnis, and the Persian Shia whose Imams changed their outlook in the 50's and decided that Shiites should have a theocracy. They took over Iran and now control the Shia worldwide. Islam specifically states that Muslims should run the world. It is going to take a long time change their attitude. In the meantime, if we play patty cake with them, they can hurt us bad before we finally come to our senses and recognize the threat. If we keep on as we are, it is inevitable that one of these groups is going to get a Nuke. And they would love to use it. They have no scruples about it.
