Padilla was never a viable threat like the 9-11 hijackers. I didn't read all the facts, but enough to know he had no access to any dirty bomb. Other "terrorist" groups the Bush Homeland Security Dept has crowed about catching turned out to be big-mouthed nobodies with no emans to carry out any terrorist attacks. Meanwhile, besides 9-11 and the LAX bombing Clinton-Berger stopped, one must remember that the last big terrorist attack on US soil was from the political extreme right in this country by Timothy McVeigh who wanted to spark a "Christian" rightwing Armageddon. So let's remember that the far right also poses a potential risk going forward.
