I haven't seen any articles saying there was spying going on. But again, if there was, I would not be surprised. In fact, I'm hoping there is spying going on. We need to know what those Iranian lunatics are doing. Are they really building a bomb or not? What kind of munitions are they sending to Iraq and how to we stop them at the source? Hell yes, I want our military to spy on Iran. We need to be prepared for them. As long as our kids are dying in Iraq, we need to spy and to know. That saves lives. Of course, I'd prefer we just leave and let the Middle East rot. But if we're going to be there, we need to do everything we can to ensure the safety of our troops and that means intelligence.

So exactly what is your point? If they were spying, then so what? Iran is spying in Iraq. We know it and they know it.

It's funny. Kidnapping is run of the mill in the Middle East. Everyone expects the Muslims in that region to do it, so it's no big deal when they do. However, when Americans take the gloves off and do the same thing to Iranians who had no business in Iraq except to aid the insurgency, then it's a big deal.
