Men should be educated about abortion----what it is physically and what it is spiritually and philosophically. Men should be a part of the decision-----after all it is the man that impregnates his sperm to form the unborn, spark of life.

You could be right. But until men assume all of their responsibilities in regards to their children, I cannot see any reason for them to be involved in the legal discussion.

OTOH i believe that if a church does not allow it's members to have abortions, it should be on the church to maintain the children born because of this restriction in the same style as the other children of the church. And this should be given freely and without comment, if the parents are unable to do so.

That I could vote happily for.

My parents had the opportunity to consider that option, there being no assurance that my father would survive the rest of the War, leaving my mother with me to cope with alone. The invasion of Japan would surely have been his fate and possible death.

They would have none of it, and I was born one month before D-Day, and before the decision to bomb Hiroshima which quickly ended the Pacific War where he would have headed as a navigator/bombardier on a Marine Corps PBJ.

A friend and colleague's parents were in Hiroshima when the A-bomb went off. They were saved by a small intervening hill which shielded them from the blast. They didn't abort him either.

I assure you, we are both grateful.
