This is a lot of fun. An all out flame war, albeit in genteel acronymic tones. But I think you misunderstood Iggy's post.

I am many posts behind, so this might be redundant. Apologies if so.

We should all be mindful that this is the sacred stream, so should avoid deteriorating. No Nokia capitulation from what I understand. No resurrection. Armageddon here we come. Goodbye Nokia.

I hope you have come to understand that iggyl’s post was meant to tweak Eric’s nose and actually support <engineer> and his frustration with all things GSM. I have tried this “tone” of sarcasm and have received similar results.<g>

Iggy is saying that people who can spell, keep their cool, and know how to spin their technology (like Eric) are different from engineers (engineer) who get upset when better technology (CDMA) loses out to politics, sly marketing, or outright lies.
