You respect them because unlike many of your allies, at least they are trying to assist. Not everyone is going to be a winner in the present socially conscious society. We are going to have to sort a lot of fools out of the mix. But the Brits may learn a lesson from this. The very fact that some people in Britain are pissed at the behaviour of those captured is positive. And it is better to have mildly incompetent allies than no allies at all. Think about it, you could have had the French for allies. Ahmadinejad would now be speaking from paris.
