I continue to lose what little respect I had for Alan Newman.

He continues to downplay real estate problems and does not even expect a 10% market correction this year.

Perhaps I am missing something, but not a single market forecaster I am aware of (even Faber) is predicting anything more than a 10% correction at the very worst.

The few bears left have morphed into teddy bears.

i do not believe in the phrase "senior citizen" .
When i was in my teens i was reading an essay of thoughts that were from obviously a vivid electric vital mind.
There was a footnote at the end of this essay that its author Goethe was 82 at the time of its writing( written very near his death, actually)

i am 5'8" 152 pounds and i think the word "wiry" could be applied to my physical aspect. So i kind of wince when you conjure up an image of me tottering with cane to collect the mail.:)
KURT Vonnegut,jr, btw, is now 84, and since his being a near lifetime heavy smoker is now catching up to him, i feel KURT has little time left, he having had a bout with pneumonia and with emphysema digging in , but his mind will be flashing sparks of vitality until his last breath.
Rather than i joining you on the stupid bench why don't you come here and sit with me on the We do NOT go Gently into the Night bench:)>>
All his writings are still in print, now that says something.
Max, with my deepest respect.
