Yah know, you see these sort of comparisons a lot. It totally misses the point of something like a Lamborghini or a Ferrari. They are quick, but definitely not the quickest thing on 4 wheels. They are fast, though. An Impala has all the aerodynamics of a brick, and assuming you could get it up over 150 mph, you wouldn't enjoy it much since it would be floating around all over the place. And woe betide you if you had to try to coax it around a corner at any speed. So yeah, it might be king on the quarter mile, but that isn't the design goal of Lamborghini's and Ferrari's. Top speed and handling are the design goals. Now true, it may make no more sense than a killer quarter mile time. But...
