I can't watch the video -- I have dialup, and waiting for videos to load is like waitng to harvest my spring corn. <G>

If the Brit Navy and Marines folks had been Americans, I'd be very critical of their behavior. But, since I don't know what standards the Brits have for captured troops, I'm in no position to judge.

However, I guess you weren't asking that, you were asking about the Iranians. My opinion on that is that they know the West isn't going to do anything, and they are like spoiled kids testing the limits of inappropriate behavior. Sadly, they haven't found those limits yet. I expect there will be more outrageous things in the future, and such acts will continue until someone finally gets fed up and slaps them down. Blair and Bush are both on the way out and under intense criticism for everything from how they conduct foreign policy to how they blow their noses. Neither will be apt to take any direct action against Iran unless there is some huge incident that simply can't be ignored, like a direct attack on a US or Brit ship, or something of that significance.

I'd guess that Amenijad (or whatever his name is) has a free rein for the next two years. And that's bad news for the West.
