I haven't set my mind on any circumstances. I do think that there are some very bad people at the highest level in the US government, and in other places in the world. I make my assessment of what is happening on the basis of my knowledge of history, my understanding of human nature, my understanding of the physical world, and information gleaned from a variety of sources (not including Fox "News"). One needs to be vigilant in protecting oneself against government propaganda, without a doubt. But one also needs to avoid being swept up in the irrationality of the mob. Let skepticism be your watchword!

some of out leaders knew the truth of how the citizens are controlled, and the evil controllers....Gen. Douglas MacArthur for one...

Always there has been some terrible evil at home or some monstrous foreign power that was going to gobble us up if we did not blindly rally behind it.

I am concerned for the security of our great Nation; not so much because of any threat from without, but because of the insidious forces working from within.

It is part of the general pattern of misguided policy that our country is now geared to an arms economy which was bred in an artificially induced psychosis of war hysteria and nurtured upon an incessant propaganda of fear.

One cannot wage war under present conditions without the support of public opinion, which is tremendously molded by the press and other forms of propaganda.

Our government has kept us in a perpetual state of fear - kept us in a continuous stampede of patriotic fervor - with the cry of grave national emergency.
Douglas MacArthur
