American classic big iron compared to Italian fast cars are like Harleys compared to crotch rockets. Harleys are designed to go from stoplight to stoplight in a straight line. Their max power comes right off idle. My Honda VFR was designed to cruise comfortably all day at 120, corner beautifully and had a fairing that directed the wind blast around you at that speed. The Harley gets REAL uncomfortable at 70, but it SOUNDS cool, especially once you take the mufflers off!
