and it will be many folks job to steal them when available


Since the dawn of time military people expect their inventions to be stolen. If you use a weapon against, better expect that next time it might be used against you... (possibly in a new and improved form...) I had a rigorous debate about the Chinese and the invention of gunpowder. They were ranting that the west had stolen gunpowder... yes I suppose.. but of course to be expected... if the Mongols hadn't use gunpowder against the Turks and the Russians... then perhaps the Turks wouldn't have used gunpowder against the Byzantine's but fully expected with multiple precedents...
