I don't see the harm caused by name-calling. To me if someone calls me a name it's just a challenge, I can respond or not respond as I choose.

I am more concerned with things like the slutification of young girls in our society and the violence among young people in many communities than name-calling.

DJ Cowhead runs a segment called "who is my baby's daddy" that is far more appalling (to the nth degree)than what Imus said.

I noticed a rise in the right wing hate talk when Gingrich rose to power. All of a sudden people were voicing their " anti-Christian" philosophy of hate and " I got mine so to hell with your needs".

Pete Wilson won re-election from his " Pedro go home speech".

It was as if the right wing tapped into the "me first" generation and rode into power on the backs of the less fortunate.

But they call themselves Christians..............historians will have a field day writing about this downward trend in American values that was sold under the illusion that it represented family values.
