Ouch! Man thats not good news. The only things I wrecked were some fingers and a shoulder that bother me every now and then. My right...well...I'll call it a pinky is really a mess. Since I lock my pinky and and index finger on every golf shot my pinky hurts quite a bit in the summer. I'm going to live with it until it hurts every day. Then I'm doing the Ronnie Lott gig - cutter off. Pinky rings look gay anyhow LOL

<< that I need a knee replacement but I need to wait until I'm 55. >>

That's so you will be dead before the new joint wears out. You may want to check with some new surgeons. Lots can be done without a stay in the hospital.

Sure glad I played football. 47 and now they are talking of fusing the knee.

Dood. Just be glad you're not 54 and me.

A bum knee won't kill you. Hight BP will!

You're my age. My knee is shot, but so far mine is only the cartilage. I will end up with a knee replacement. Hopefully I can hold out for another decade or more.

Why do you have to wait till you're 55????? If it's that bad now, it sure isn't going to get better...And trust me here...IF you fall, like I did with a bad knee, and two arthroscopies before that....you will be MOST unhappy that you didn't do something before that. When I fell, I broke my right arm in 6 places...3 fractures, and 3 breaks...casts for a couple of months, and it didn't heal, so another scope because I banged up the knee worse than before, and they put a plate and screws in the arm....AND after that healed in two more months, then had to have a total knee replacement...cartilege was nearly totally gone.

SO really, try to have another good surgeon see it.
