Hi rose..

Although I stated earlier, I was done with this topic, it has turned into something bigger so I retract and redact.. )

re: ""not to excuse his comments or anything,
but he was probably saying what 50% of
the public was thinking""

Do you really think that half the the North American society, and by that I mean Canada and the United States ( as they are about the same, imo) is that racist?..

I don't think so.. For I think Imus and hopefully, his relatively small following, will get it..

For most people, hopefully so, will see through his shallowness and understand what Imus would say about some southern college here, if most of their girls were lily white, and if they lost in the in the finals..

I only hope you are wrong but I don't know.. You might be right, unfortunately.. :(

For I have a lot of experience on both sides of the border..

I will outline it now..

First, growing up near the border and having friends in Canada..

Second, setting up and running the exploration for a major Canadian mining company in the western US before Conrad Black, etal screwed it up, (but that's a different story for a different topic.<ng>). Traveling back and forth between the states and Toronto....

Thirdly, Forming a small, pubicly traded, precious metal company with friends in Vancouver and then selling out and sort of retiring.. :)..

I only say this to lay the ground work for my experiences on North American THOUGHT....

Take care,

m
