The only time I've ever heard the words 'nappy headed' is in that Stevie Wonder song. As far as that part of his comments go, I'd say it just shows how out of touch with normal lingo he is. But I don't see any reason for calling them whores. He called them nappy headed ho's. Not blond haired ho's or straight haired ho's or white ho's. So yeah, I think he said a stupid insulting thing. But, if someone is on public radio a few hours a day for 20 years it's probably hard to avoid eventually saying something stupid. I've never actually heard his show - just seen one interview with him on Larry King and that's my level of knowledge of Imus. It goes beyond stupid. Imus has been making racist comments on a periodic basis. He's been warned to chill in the past........he didn't. Now the sh*t is hitting the fan. I am unclear why you feel the need to defend him.
