It occupies land it took from Syria, Egypt and Jordan, who all attacked Israel.

It gave Egypt's land back.

Not all of it.

The Gaza Strip was controlled by Egypt before Israel took it.

The Gaza strip was a part of the original UN partition of Palestine. During the 1948 war, the Egyptians took control of Gaza. Eventually, they gave it back.

I am not sure what you mean about Jordan.

The West Bank was taken from Jordan (then it was called Transjordan), after it attacked Israel.

No. Transjordan was the name given to the area around the Jordan River under the British Mandate of Palestine. The land east of the river was to become Jordan and the area west of the river was to become the Palestinian Arab state under the UN Partition Plan.

I wouldn't be training children to blow themselves up if they can kill some Israelis in the process.

No, because you live in an affluent democracy where other recourses exist.

And if we liven in a poor dictatorship I still would be training kids to blow themselves up as long as they can kill people of some other ethnic group in the process.

I think what you meant to say is you still wouldn't be training kids to blow themselves up. And my reply to that is you don't know what you would do under other circumstances. That's why they say don't judge a man until you've walked in his shoes.

And I'm not unusual in that regard. Terrorism doesn't strong correlate with poverty. It has some correlation with lack of democracy but many non-democracies have relatively little terrorism.

I disagree with you......terrorism usually results from oppression and poverty.
