let's assume these people are all working for very low wages.

they contribute $9000 in taxes.. doesn't break down what taxes.. federal income.. plus state? sales?

let's assume it is federal income taxes.. that would put them at the top of the $56,800 income tax bracket at 15% rate.(tax $8520). the $56,800 of course is after exemptions, deductions, dependent deductions.

seems like a pretty good income to raise a family on.

Wonder were the labor comes from to replace them and at what wages? we are not talking welfare here. we are discussing lower income who get some federal support but we do not know what went into those numbers either. Could it be medical costs because of no insurance, food stamps if lots of dependents, are we counting cost of schools and education.

we should compare these costs better and explain them better.
