I suspect that the parties don't feel the need yet to raise the stakes, which is on balance good news in the sense that things aren't getting worse, but I'm not sure it means things are getting better (although me and my retirement plan sure hope so)....HF

Don't get your hopes up Freddy. At this point I think every statement or lack of same is a result of legal posturing. If Q makes a bold press release that the two sides are so far apart it's hopeless that could be interpreted as not negotiating in good faith. But in reality that is the most likely possibility and we can just wait for the next legal shoe to fall.

The silence is understandable. If you have a good or bad hand of poker, the last thing you want is to let the other side know if it is good or bad. The recent statements from Nokia, however, which some may consider posturing, would indicate that Nokia doesn't have much of a hand in the current deal.
