I have been taking Inositrol niacin for years, myself. It's very effective for reducing triglycerides, less so on LDL. It also avoids the "flush" straight niacin gives you. My cholesterol level is in the area of 220 or 225, down from about 300 a year or more ago. I've tried Arjuna, guggel and now I'm taking a product called CholestOFF which is an OTC capsule. It has been very effective for my brother, so I started it a couple months ago and will get tested in another couple of months.
