Democrats have gained about 20% in popularity since the public got a whiff of what the GOP rightwing is really all about. Bush's sustained 30-37% approval rating is the worst ever in the history of the US presidency. Some presidents have dipped down but always recovered quickly. Bush is now rejected by two-thirds of the country on a sustained hardened basis. And even the oine third who support him must have to hold their noses and do so solely out of GOP party loyalty, or else gross dishonesty and/or ignorance.
