I just listened to Thompson's interview with Cavuto. His lymphoma isn't in remission, it's a non-aggressive form of lymphoma called "indolent lymphoma." According to what he believes, he can have the cancer for many years without there ever being any negative effects of the disease.

This is also the case for several types of prostrate cancer, where, depending on a guy's age, the docs decide surgery would be a more negative option than just letting it remain.
