Mana, there is a maximum, though I have never seen a figure for it. I guess that it is $1000 [as a nice round number in keeping with the cost of cellphones back in the day].

Inflation could make that an unfortunate and unwise choice. Meanwhile, price reductions of cellphones has meant not much is more than the maximum [if that's the maximum].

If cyberphones cost $10,000 due to inflation, then QCOM's royalty will look pathetic. Houses $100 million. Cars $10 million.

I hope we aren't up a blind alley with the maximum. So far it's not a problem.
