I kind of agree, but for another reason. Despite what the author wrote, Imus beats everything on cable tv for his time slot. And the reason he does is because his show is truly creative and funny. Sometimes I cringe when Bernie talks and the boxing match between Bernie and Sid Rosenberg was absolutely gruesome. When he plugs a book on his show, it always becomes a NY Times bestseller, #1, 2 or 3, within a week.

Still, there is something I love about seeing this brutal, knuckle dragging excuse for a man, Bernie, not Imus, himself, wearing a FedEx envelope on his head and imitating the late Cardinal Cushing at 5:30 in the morning. The comedian who does imitations of Clinton, Dr. Phil and, especially, The Attorney General "Imus, you talk to me like that, I put electrodes on your testicles."

So, the reason the show will die will not be because it is already dead. It will be because they will have to tone down the rhetoric drastically, and the Imus image is of a renegade who won't take crap from anyone. He can no longer pull that one off, and that's the whole schtick. He's either Don Rickles mean brother, or he's nobody.

So, the show will get dull and it will lose ratings.

But, I will still use the Imus Ranch organic cleanser and laundry soap. O.K., my maid will use them, but I'll buy them. <G> Each time I use them, I take some toxins out of my life and help sponsor some kids with cancer at the Imus Ranch for Kids With Cancer.

This could be a great thing if they have to run the ranch all year long. They always have more kids than spots at the ranch.
