<But I'll be damned if I can see the wisdom in getting yet another conventional general (czar) to call the shots in an unconventional war. All these conventional GOs are cast from the same mold. They all go to the same schools, have similar career assignment patterns, and (I'm sure) similar brain electrical wave patterns. Most important to understand is they all germinate their ideas inside the same box.> What will be the political/military response to another 911 ? At some point the reality/consequences of one side fighting unconventionally will come home to roost in the worst possible way. The jihadists are not going on spring break.
