So what does this really mean ? >>> "All in all, the US is almost certainly one of the most benign world powers in human history." <<< Maybe, the US is the nicest bully you'd ever want to meet. There was some discussion that the US policy of encouraging stability in the Middle East was encouraging the "wrong kind" of stability.
