Rush has said much worse over the years, but who is going to fire him when he essentially owns his own network and has rightwing advertisers. Imus' high profile on national TV and his mainstream guest list and advertisers make him a much more serious media personality than the Bush Propaganda Minister Limbaugh. Imus should have retired years ago. I literally remember listening to him 30 years ago on WNBC AM radio when I was in grade school. He is as old as the hills.
