Well socialism comes in many brands and I won't debate that point wide scale.

e.g. our vast middle class ( of which I, luckily, am one ) benefits from the tax deduction on motgage interest and tax, a clearly socialist program as is medicare and medicaid and unemployment ( the latter, all good safety nets ). There are not just a few socialistic grounded programs --in concept--for corporations, the farmer, the oil man...etc. etc.---we just and never will get to where Scandanavia is---I hope.

Now, it's true that H has socialistic tendencies as most dems do and the only program left that is clearly gounded in socialism that can or will ever be accpeted will be universal health care---we can debate the merits and flaws of such a system to we're blue in the face---I'm not into that, just the politics of it.

All candidates whther they be repubs or dems are stealth like in their true agendas. The only guy I see coming right out in front with no fear about where he stands is John McCain---this guy should be elected alone just because he got the balls to come out in front.

Whose your fave contendor as it stands right now?
