If either Newmont or Barrick get ahold of this one it will cement one or the other's place as the dominant gold producer.

maybe neither will end up with it. I think it more likely bought by a large integrated producer such as BHP, Rio Tinto, Freeport etc.. They have huge amounts of cash to deploy and this is a golden apple.

Geez, a lot happened while I was off line. Looks like an old fashioned shake out in the precious metals, and EPM hit $1.35 briefly.

That's what I get for watching a quadruple overtime. I can't believe the 'nucks pulled it out. Luango really did out battle Turco in the end.
