Many NRA members are radical nutsos and proud of it. "We're proud to be rednecks" said the female #2 head of the NRA on the radio recently. You may not be one of them, but don't try to paint the NRA as some harmless responsible citizens group. It has done all kinds of harm, especially in terms of corrupting our government. The NRA is also not a gun safety org as it claims. How could any org pushing cop-killoer bullets and banana clips be for "safety"? It is the gun lobby, its goal to put as many weapons on our streets as possible for profit. If you believe any different you've been duped. The NRA also has a long history of being alligned with rightwing extremists like white supremicists and the KKK from which it was born.
