we put a much heavier weight on killing than they do, especially the killing of innocent civilians.

...and in particular on killing our own civilians, their own brethren, their women and kids.

A BIG difference IMO.

Any opinions on this matter different from mine???
Replies please!

>So killing is bad, and killing is wrong, and therefore when someone kills for whatever reason, we have to remind ourselves that we as a society have killed before?

We should remind ourselves that we've killed before and that we're killing now.

>I don't think self-doubt should be lauded as what makes us different than the Muslim extremists. I'd rather think that for us, we put a much heavier weight on killing than they do, especially the killing of innocent civilians.

But do we really? Or do we just say we do?
