You have to ask yourself why was Iraq invaded in the first place? Besides which, Afghanistan could become a very hot potato to handle as well. Was the plan to invade those countries and become sitting ducks in fixed bases? Looks that way. 911 was the means to justify wars without no end to them. Those are the issues faced today. ps: You forgot to tell us what sort of civil engineer you are.
