it was about money, not words. sharpton won, he was going to march in front of cbs, sponsors got scared of bad press and felt they do not need it. that is why he got dropped. this had nothing to do with the words.. imus has said much worse in through out the years. This was a win for Sharpton and Jesse. they win they scared the corporations enough to dump imus. Imus was great for them , brought them in some bucks with however any danger of their products getting boycotted they left immediately. i do not care of imus , but the punishment was extreme. Hopefully, he doesn't let the sharptons and jesse's ruin him , that he has enough fight to come back on sirius. those who enjoyed his sarcastic humor will follow him. Hillary must have loved every minute, i bet she taped all the debates to fire Imus.

I was no fan of IMUS and over the years he has taken potshots at just about everyone. However, I honestly dont believe he is racist, I think that is just what he sold. A line of insulting BS. Personally, I never found anything funny about that. I should point out that this same IMUS has done FAR MORE for the NEEDY then the likes of Al Sharpton has EVER done. People like Sharpton are PARASITES that LIVE off of exploiting Blacks. Personally, I think the Sharptons of the world have done MORE to keep Blacks DOWN then anything IMUS has ever said. So, IMHO the punishment was ridiculous and only shows how CBS and MSNBC are mealy mouthed liberal egg sucking assholes. I detested them before, I detest them moreso now. I would be HAPPY if their ability to use our airwaves was taken away from them. The other thing that bothers me is what the minister said who mediated the IMUS meeting with the girls to apologize. He said afterwards, "words are not enough, there must be RESTITUTION" what the hell is that? Are they expecting a FINANCIAL WINDFALL? If that is so, maybe IMUS was right all along. jdn
