No, it is not hard for me to understand how someone is disgusted with a public person. Rarely do we actually know the person, unless we're AS, so we have a tendency to project either an overly glossy or overly dark vision onto them. What I don't understand is why people insist on smearing Kerry's exemplary service instead of attacking what they really don't like about him. If you think he's a snob, fine. If you are disgusted by his antiwar stance, great. If you think he's eased into a life of luxury and is disconnected from the common people, grand. But don't make up crap about his service that you can't back up; it degrades the service of all in the military.
