I think Jimmy the Greek's comments were simply the straw that broke the camel's back. He had been involved in lots of scandals, not least of which was the punching out of Brett Musberger, his co-host, in public. Ditto for Imus. If he hadn't condoned racist, misogynistic comments in the past, he wouldn't have been fired. The weirdest part is the tv feed of the radio program. Bernie plays the Big Ott on the show and Imus pretends he is trying to tone down his comments. But on tv, you hear Imus saying "Bernie, stop it. That's not helpful." And, unlike radio, they often show him doing the tv signal for "More, keep it going." Next, somebody will be telling me pro wrestling and the UFC are rigged matches, or, as they say, Kayfabe.
