The Clintons were cleared of all Whitewater charges after the most wasteful, most extensive, most expensive investigation in world history. It was all about an old $40,000 land deal they lost money on. So when the rightwing couldn't find any wrongdoing there, they turned to CLinton's sex life. Meanwhile, the two top GOP congressmen were carrying on affairs outside their marriages. Just another example of the gross hypocrisy and corruption of the rightwing. It's disgusting but hilarious to hear Tom DElay now complaining about the politics of personal destruction, as if anyone but he himself and his own crimes did himself in. What a total A-hole that guy is. And how many outright fabricated smears and lies did he champion against democrats, including helping to fund the smearvets campaign against Kerry which was a frontal assault on the functionality of our democracy.
