It's somewhat vague with our architectural committee... supposedly, I can do much as I please inside my back fence. My yard is about 35 feet wide and about 20 deep. I had a Trex deck put in without an OK a few years ago, but had to get their OK to install my air conditioning unit. When I first moved in, over 27 years ago, I was told by a board member I could do as I pleased as long as it wasn't above the fence. So, I'm going with this plan as of Monday without talking to them. I turned in an application to replace my sliding doors to the deck last fall and haven't heard a word from them. Not very attentive and I don't care. When I'm ready, I'll just do it.
