I'm sure they are aware of the size of credit derivatives market. Their plan is to prevent the s... from hitting the fan by flying hilos whenever liquidity is needed. Wall Street computers will take care of the rest. They don't want a dollar crisis, so inflation and economy stats has been doctored so much, it no longer is even close to reality. S... will hit the fan through the dollar crisis, it's inevitable. Their fix was to raise rates slowly and pretend inflation is not picking up by doctoring the stats, while printing vigorously through the back door. The fix relies heavily on the carry trade, for which only interest rates, not printing, are relevant.
