Read upstream to see what happened....Sorry to hear that...You have to do something about the table... We had a rectangle shaped coffee table..when the kids were growing up, we had glass (with beveled and rounded edges) so it wasn't as sharp made to fit the top of each tables in the house. Didn't want kids or anyone else to put wet or sticky glasses on the tops of the solid cherry wood....

BUT one weekend we were getting ready to move, so furniture was gathered in odd places, rugs rolled up ready to go...two of the boys decided a little push and shove was in order...the youngest (about 4 at the time) fell, and hit his eyebrow on the side of the glass.

Lots of blood, we did the butterfly and threw everyone into the car (handled him gently with lots of towels...) and went to the hospital. We were all so lucky....Several little stitches, but no eye injury....scared all of us to pieces!

The one who did the pushing is about 19 months older, but didn't mean for anything to happen. That's the problem with accidents....we NEVER know when one is going to happen.

We took the glass off that table for a couple of years, and eventually put it back on as they got older. Never had another accident with it...It just took that once for everyone to wise up....at least in the house.

Good luck with your leg....Did your son see it happen?
