I have heard of plans to tow relatively huge sections of Antarctic ice (giant icebergs)to tropical areas for conversion into drinkable water. It seems the plans to do this are feasible. However, a drawback is that by the time the icebergs arrive at their destination, a significant portion of the ice would have melted off along the way: the longer the journey from Antarctica, the greater the loss of ice.

I believe that homes in the future will each have a recycling unit where waste-water will be recycled into water usable for, say, washing autos and watering plants.
