The Flags we have didn't want to do the followup. They were working under a "take em out and get out" philosophy. They acted like it was WWII Germany and Japan and South Korea. The flags missed three little details. We had 16 million American men and women in uniform in WWII. Our allies provided some 25 million more. We have 507,000 in the US Army today. The only problem with adding all of the "Sys Admin" type of battalions now is that we will NEVER try to occupy another Arab Country after this experience. I think Barnett's ideas are worthy of much study. I think Rummie's decision to reorganize our entire army (to conform to Barnett's idea) in the middle of two wars was just plain dumb and it has cost us dearly.
